Back Deck Planter

This planter on our back deck that was in great need of attention. The builder lined it with sheets of styrofoam so I was reluctant to plant anything edible in it, but still, it needed something more than just soil.

Limiting myself to a budget of less than twenty dollars, I set off to our neighborhood product/plant stand to see what colorful assortment I could find to fill the planter. I decided on white and pink cosmos to for the center, red, pink and white snapdragons for each side and marigolds on each end.

 The result, instant gardening, instant color!
